P-40C takes to the air again

On 17 April 2011, a rare P-40C Tomahawk flew again in New Zealand, after a five and a half-year restoration by Avspecs Ltd. Test pilot John Lamont was satisfied with the handling of the aircraft, which has been painted to represent 2Lt. George Welch’s aircraft at the time of the Pearl Harbor attack.
