T-33 makes belly landing in Utah

An emergency landing by a T-33 which couldn’t lower its gear went very well at St Georges Municipal Airport on Friday February 3rd.

The pilot was reported to have flown several passes to burn remaining fuel while the airport services foamed the runway for the anticipated belly-landing. The T-33, which carries a fictional Blue Angels livery, slid some 2000 ft before coming to rest. The two crew members were unharmed.
