Spitfire T.9 “Elizabeth” damaged in wheels-up landing

Not a great time for Spitfires. 🙁 Aero Legends’ Spitfire T.9 NH341 “Elizabeth” was lightly damaged on June d’Aero Legends during a landing in which the undercarriage was not fully locked down. Fortunately, nobody was injured and the aircraft should be flying again soon.

Spitfire NH341 performs brief maiden flight

John Romain of the Aircraft Restoration Company flew a short test flight in Aero Legends’ Spitfire LF. IXb NH341 ‘Elizabeth’, which has been converted to a T.9 twin-seater. During this test, a carburettor issue was detected, bringing an end to the flight.
