The Camel at Old Rhinebeck is a replica built by Cole Palen and associates. The ex-Tallman Camel fuselage and tail is now owned by Sir Peter Jackson in NZ. I own the ex-Tallman original Camel wings and have built a fuselage and tail etc, I hope to fly it at Old Rhinebeck some day. Do you have pictures of your friend flying the Tallman Camel? My friend George Leavy flew the Frank Talman Camel, which is today displayed and demonstrated at Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome. The DR-1 replica, alas, was wrecked. It had a standard radial engine, not Oberursel rotary, as it was built for a war movie.
