I have known Bob for three years we sang in the same choir in Apache Junction AZ from our first meeting I liked Bob he was very easy to be around and having some back ground in flying we always had things to talk about and being from northern Minnesota we found we had common friends,John Mohr,Lee Anderson. Bob will be missed by so many. Bill Purdy

Services for Bob Odegaard will be held at St. Morris Catholic Church in Kindred, ND – Wednesday 2PM, burial service at 3PM, followed by a Rememberance Gathering at the Fargo Air Museum at 5PM.

Frederickson Funeral Home in Kindred is handling arrangements.

It is a sad sad time at our hangar!

Bob was a great friend. Just a few short months ago, I watched him depart KFFZ in #74, the Super Corsair, along with Ed Newberg flying Bob’s P-51 “Stang.” They were escaping the coming Arizona summer heat and headed for Kindred, Bob’s North Dakota home base.

Since then, I have been looking forward to his annual return to Arizona where he was a big part of our CAF Arizona Wing. Bob kept several airplanes at our CAF Museum Hangar. But, it was Bob who everyone was wanting to see. He was an amazing talent both at the flight controls and with his mechanic’s tools. Many times he would have that “best way” of solving a mechanical problem. We all knew he was somone special.

Bob Odegaard will be missed everyday from now on…
