Continue reading]]> The de Havilland Mosquito T Mk III TV959 restored by AvSpecs for Paul Allen’s Flying Heritage Collection made its maiden flight today from Ardmore airport in New Zealand. The pilots for the first flight were David Phillips and Keith Skillings. The flight lasted thirty minutes and the Mosquito was escorted by Spitfire ZK-WDQ, acting as the chase aircraft.

Flying Heritage Collection test flew their newly restored Grumman F6F-5N for the very first time on Wednesday, March 27th, 2013 with Steve Hinton at the controls. The Hellcat is their latest addition to the collection and will be flying for the 2013 season here at Paine Field in Everett, Washington.

Continue reading]]> On August 6, Paul Allen’s Heritage Flying Collection hosted its “Luftwaffe Day” at Paine Field. The date is somewhat unique, as the FHC’s Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-5 made its debut, and flew in formation with one of only two airworthy Messerschmitt Me 109E-3. The Fw 190 is the only airworthy example of its type in the world, and was restored to its exact wartime condition.
