The Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 Werk Nr. 410077, under restauration by Midwest Aero Restorations Ltd and belonging to Bruce Winter of San Antonio, Texas, has had its first engine run since 1943, in Danville, Illinois. Midwest Aero Ltd has posted this video of the engine runs on its YouTube channel.

Messerschmitt Bf 109G-6 “Black 8” flies again in Germany

World’s last surviving twin-seat Buchón flies again
The last surviving HA-1112-M4L Buchón (G-AWHC), a twin-seater variant of the Buchón, flew again yesterday at Sywell Aerodrome in the UK. Richard Grace was at the controls and made two flights.The aircraft was part of Connie Edwards’ collection, which was sold in 2014. More information and videos on the Sywell Aerodrome Facebook page.

Allison-engined Bf 109 of the Erickson Aircraft Collection flies
On April 22, John Romain made the first flight of Bf 109G-10 registered N90602 in Madras, Oregon. It is a Hispano Buchón, re-engined with an Allison engine. First engine runs for Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar’s Bf 109E
The Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar’s Messerschmitt Bf 109E “White 14” recently made its first engine tests. The aircraft was built in 1939 and lost in 1942 on the Russian front. It was salvaged in 1992 and changed hands several times before reaching the UK where it is being restored and should fly again soon.

The Messerschmitt Bf 109G D-FOON belonging to The Fighter Factory has been restored to airworthiness by Meier Motors and made it maiden flight yesterday with Charlie Brown at the controls. Another test flight took place today, and in-flight photos were taken.
