A French Aero L-39 Albatros operated by “Les Ailes de Pégase” crash-landed in a forest Gironde, France, on Saturday April 30th. Both the pilot and passenger survived the crash landing and were evacuated to a nearby hospital.

The Pacific Aviation Museum has received a Lockheed T-33 Shooting Star jet trainer, which became the museum’s 28th aircraft. The aircraft was used at Honolulu Community College, and was donated to the museum. The French association Reconstruction Répliques Avions Anciens has succesfully carried out the first flight of its 3/4-scale Mosquito replica. On 17 April 2011, a rare P-40C Tomahawk flew again in New Zealand, after a five and a half-year restoration by Avspecs Ltd. Test pilot John Lamont was satisfied with the handling of the aircraft, which has been painted to represent 2Lt. George Welch’s aircraft at the time of the Pearl Harbor attack.
